Concerns about coronavirus (COVID-19)

by Admin in Articles & News

There has been a lot of concern and questions regarding the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19). At this time, the best way to prevent spread of disease is regular hand washing with soap and warm water and staying home if you or your child is sick with fever and cough. Regular face masks are not helpful to prevent someone from getting the virus. A mask can help someone sick lessen the chance they pass the virus to someone else. If you do need to be seen in our office and have a cough or fever, please stop for a face mask on the first floor. We continue to monitor the recommendations per the Centers of Disease Control and World Health Organization.

If there is concern for your family due to travel history you can reach out to the Department of Public Health at 617-624-6000 (after hours 617-983-6800) to have questions answered.

The websites for the Centers of Disease Control and World Health Organization are great resources for information and updates.
