Growth & Development Resources

North Shore Pediatrics recognizes that each child grows and develops in their own individual way and at their own pace. Physical growth is an increase in size. Development is growth in function and capability. There are a lot of factors that contribute to growth and development including environment, nutrition and genetics. A child’s growth and development can be divided into four periods: infancy, preschool years, middle childhood years and adolescence.

Resources below can help you follow the growth and development of your child. If you have concerns that your child is having difficulties in any area we encourage you to speak to your provider. Remember again, each child is different and some just need a little more time!
