David O. Danis, MD

David O. Danis, MD is a Partner at North Shore Pediatrics and joined the practice in 1996. Dr. Danis completed his undergraduate education at the University of Wisconsin and his Doctor of Medicine Degree at the St. Louis University School of Medicine graduating Magna Cum Laude. Dr. Danis completed his training at the Boston Floating Children's Hospital where he served as Chief Resident. Dr. Danis is Chief of Pediatrics at Lahey Beverly Hospital.

Dr. Danis is a Board Certified Pediatrician. In addition to his work with children in the Boston area, Dr. Danis has participated in treating children in Bangladesh, Peru and Haiti. Dr. Danis has won numerous awards for teaching and is currently involved in teaching residents at our Danvers office.

Dr. Danis is married with 4 children and practices primarily in our office on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Maureen Mathews, MD

Maureen Mathews, MD is a Partner at North Shore Pediatrics and joined the practice in 2004. Dr. Mathews holds a Bachelor of Arts in biology from the College of Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts and a Masters of Public Health, a Masters of Arts in Medical Sciences and a Doctor of Medicine degree from the Boston University School of Medicine. Dr. Mathews completed her post-doctoral training at the Massachusetts General Hospital for Children and is Board Certified in Pediatrics.

Dr. Mathews has served as a Clinical Fellow in Pediatrics at the Harvard University Medical School and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. During her training she was a member of Alpha Omega Epsilon graduate honor society.

Dr. Mathews enjoys swimming and skiing with her 3 children and is available for appointments in our office on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.

Shannon L. Dufresne, MD

Shannon L. Dufresne, MD is a partner at North Shore Pediatrics and joined the practice in 2010. Dr. Dufresne completed her Bachelor of Arts in Biology at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts and her Medical Degree at Dartmouth Medical School in Hanover, New Hampshire.

She completed her Pediatric Residency at Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth and had been involved with the CHaD Advocacy Project and the Hanover Diversion Program for troubled adolescents. Dr. Dufresne cares for children of all ages and enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.

Dr. Dufresne is married with two children and is available for appointments in our office Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.

Physicians

Filza Kita, DO

Filza Kita, DO joined the Medical Staff at North Shore Pediatrics in July, 2023. Dr. Kita has a Bachelor's of Science in Biology from Emory University in Atlanta and a Master of Science in Microbiology & Immunology from the Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans. Dr. Kita completed her medical education at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2019. Following the awarding of her Doctor of Osteopathy, Dr. Kita completed her Residency in Pediatric Medicine at Baystate Children's Hospital in Springfield, Massachusetts.

Prior to joining North Shore Pediatrics, Dr. Kita was a Pediatrician at Gruenwald & Commandatore Pediatrics in Millburn, Jersey. Dr. Kita is married to Timothy, a Pediatric Emergency Room physician. They currently live in Medford and have a new puppy named Theo.

Appointments can be made with Dr. Kita on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Todd M. Sanderson, MD

Dr. Sanderson joined the Medical Staff at North Shore Pediatrics on September 9, 2024. Originally from Wakefield, Dr. Sanderson and his family are returning to New England from New Orleans where he was in practice at Ochsner Health Center for Children as a Primary Care Provider as well as the Rotation Director for the Residency Continuity Clinic and a Clinical Preceptor.

Dr. Sanderson received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Boston College and his Doctor of Medicine from UMass Chan Medical School. After completing his Residency at Hasbro Children's Hospital in Providence, he practiced In Pittsburg, PA before heading to New Orleans.

Dr. Sanderson is married with 2 children and is available for appointments on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.

Caroline Maguire, CPNP

Caroline Maguire, CPNP is a member of the medical staff at North Shore Pediatrics who joined our office in January of 2022. Caroline graduated from Boston College with a Bachelor of Science in 2010 and then went on to complete her Masters of Science in Nursing at Boston College as well in 2013. Prior to joining North Shore Pediatrics, Caroline worked as a pediatric nurse practitioner at Sturdy Pediatric Associates in Attleboro for 9 years. She also obtained a fellowship in Adolescent Health from Boston Children's Hospital in 2019. Caroline lives in Medford, MA and in her spare time loves to travel.

Caroline is available for appointments in our office Tuesdays through Fridays.

Cody Deeds, CPNP

Cody Deeds, CPNP is a member of the medial staff at North Shore Pediatrics. Cody received both his Bachelor and Masters of Science in Nursing from Regis College in Weston. Cody is a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and joined the practice in December 2021. Prior to joining North Shore Pediatrics Cody worked as a pediatric nurse practitioner in a pediatric primary care office and as a registered nurse in two acute care facilities including Beth Israel Deaconess Needham and UMASS Memorial Medical Center.

Cody is married with one dog named Coastal. Cody is available for appointments Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday April through September. Also available October through March Mondays and Fridays with urgent care appointments Saturday and Sunday.

Nicole True, CPNP

Nicole True, MSN, APRN joined the Medical Staff at North Shore Pediatrics in April, 2023. Nicole has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Fitchburg State College and a Masters in Nursing with a Pediatric Concentration from Maryville University.

Prior to joining North Shore Pediatrics, Nicole was a Registered Nurse at Boston Children's Hospital and is currently Adjunct Clinical Faculty at Salem State University.

Nicole is married with 2 children and 2 dogs and is available for appointments on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

Aaron Brown, CPNP

Aaron Brown, MSN, CPNP joined the Medical Staff at North Shore Pediatrics in November, 2024. Aaron has an Undergraduate Degree in Economics with a concentration in Community and International Development. After working in New York City for several years, Aaron enrolled the Yale University School of Nursing where he received his Master of Nursing as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.

Prior to joining North Shore Pediatrics, Aaron was employed by Optum Medical in Lake Katrine, New York where he provided primary care to children of all ages from infant to adolescents.

Originally from western Massachusetts, Aaron and his wife are returning to Massachusetts and will be living on the North Shore. Aaron can be seen in office on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Retired Partners

Thomas M. Seman, MD

On March 31, 2023, after 31 years at North Shore Pediatrics, PC, Dr. Seman retired from the day-to-day practice of pediatric medicine.

Thomas M. Seman, MD was a Partner at North Shore Pediatrics and joined the practice in 1992. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Vermont and his Doctor of Medicine Degree at Tufts University School of Medicine. Additionally, Dr. Seman holds a certification in Medical Photography from Beth Israel Hospital School of Medical Photography. Dr. Seman is Board Certified in Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Seman is a member of the medical staff at Beverly Hospital and is the school pediatrician for Shore Country Day School and the Village School in Boxford.

Dr. Seman is married with 2 children and was named Best of Boston Pediatrician in February 2005. In addition to caring for children, Dr. Seman enjoys photography, gardening, fishing and travel.

Lance R. Goodman, MD

On September 11, 2024, after 11 years at North Shore Pediatrics, PC, Dr. Lance R. Goodman retired from the day-to-day practice of pediatric medicine.

Dr. Goodman was a Partner at North Shore Pediatrics. He is a Board Certified Pediatrician and graduated from the University Of Virginia School Of Medicine in 1989. Following medical school, Dr. Goodman completed his pediatric residency at New York Hospital/Cornell Medical Center in New York.

Prior to joining North Shore Pediatrics in 2013, Dr. Goodman was an Associate Physician at Pediatric Partners in Boca Raton, Florida. In addition to seeing patients in his office, Dr. Goodman was also Chief of Pediatrics at Boca Raton Community Hospital. Prior to joining Pediatric Partners, Dr. Goodman was Physician Partner at Sandy Spring Pediatrics in Atlanta, Georgia, where he also served as Chief of Pediatrics at Northside Hospital.

Dr. Goodman is happy to know that the patients he care for over so many years will be in the capable hands of Dr. Sanderson.
